Sunflower Wax comes from Sunflower Oil. Sunflower Oil is obtained by crushing Sunflower Seeds in expellers. The oil is then cooled (winterized) so the wax precipitates out and is separated from the oil. Solvents are not used in the refinery.

 It is produced through the winterization of Sunflower oil and comes in small pastille form with a light yellow appearance.

Sunflower Wax is a popular vegan alternative to use in cosmetic and personal-care formulations, such as balms, lipsticks, salves, lotions, and deodorants. It is an excellent emulsifier with a higher melting point than other wax options, a sought-after property for products that may be exposed to higher temperatures such as carrying a lip balm around with you in the summer weather. Sunflower wax can improve the consistency of a product, binding oil and water together, to create a smoother texture.
