Already in the 4th millennium BC, aromatic oils were used for medical and cosmetic purposes.
The term "aromatherapy" meaning "treatment with aromas", improving mental and physical health using natural essential oils derived from aromatic plants. Pleasure is therapy in itself, but aromatherapy goes further, turning therapy into pleasure.
Essential oils contain vitamins, hormones, antibiotics, pheromones, as well as substances that regenerate cells. These substances provide plants with nutrition, give vital energy. Thanks to them, the immunity of plants to various diseases increases, pathogenic bacteria are destroyed and viruses are neutralized. Getting valuable aromatic oils from plants, we can use these same healing properties in order to restore the natural biological processes of our body and improve its condition.
Essential oils “work”:
- at the physical level - penetrating through the skin into the capillary circulatory system;
- at the psychological level - acting through the sense of smell on the nervous system.
Natural Essential Oils Only
Natural essential oils obtained from plants contain from 100 to 3000 components in perfect proportions created by nature. It is not yet possible to accurately reproduce their composition in laboratory conditions.
However, many manufacturers reproduce the molecular formula responsible for the smell of oil. The result is a liquid that is only reminiscent of smell, but has nothing to do with real essential oil. And even more so, such a liquid does not have medicinal properties. This liquid is an aromatic fragrance, the same as those used in dishwashing detergents and other household chemicals. In aromatherapy, the use of only natural essential oils is permissible.
The quality of natural oil depends on many factors - the place and conditions of plant growth, the time of collection of the raw materials from which it is obtained, the production method, storage method. It is the quality of the essential oils that determines their effectiveness, harmlessness and, accordingly, the breadth of application.

Do not take the essential oil inside (without the appropriate prescription of a doctor or experienced aromatherapist). It can cause severe poisoning.
It is very important to remember that it is necessary to use essential oils during pregnancy very carefully, as some of them have an abortive effect. Before use, be sure to consult a specialist!
