Apricot oil for face, hair, eyelashes and nails
The beneficial properties of apricot oil make it indispensable in the care of face, body, hair, eyelashes and nails. Apricot trees have been cultivated for more than 3000 years, a curious find testifies to this - their surviving bones at the foot of the ancient Armenian pagan temple of Garni. In Asia, these juicy sweet fruits are called "orange gold", and some sources even claim that they contain a noble metal. One can argue with this, but no one will deny that the oil extracted from their bones is a precious drug for our skin.
Useful properties of apricot oil
Apricot oil is obtained by cold pressing, so it retains a maximum of beneficial properties. In the seeds of the apricot from which it is produced, oil contains from 35 to 60%. It has low acidity and low viscosity, which makes it suitable, for example, for oily and mixed skin, which does not tolerate heavy textures.
Apricot oil contains oleic acid, which allows the oil to be well absorbed, retains moisture, and enhances the penetration of other active components into the stratum corneum. Linolenic acid in its composition plays an important role in the barrier function and improves the condition of dry, flaky and prone to skin irritation.
Also in it, as in sweet almond oil, contains amygdalin glycoside. In human gastric juice, it hydrolyzes with the formation of poisonous hydrocyanic acid, therefore apricot kernels, like almond nuts, are not recommended for consumption in large quantities, even 50-60 grams can cause poisoning. Apricot oil also contains the enzymes emulsin and lactase, vitamins of groups A, C, B, F, and the latter are contained in it in a more active form than in other oils.
Apricot oil for face and body
Apricot oil is suitable for all skin types. It is completely absorbed, tones, restores and fights against skin inflammations and fine wrinkles. And also restores elasticity, gives a healthy color. It has a positive effect on peeling and cracking. Especially suitable for use in the cold season, protects and protects against weathering.
The easiest way to use apricot oil is to apply it with your fingertips with massage movements on clean skin. It can be used both in pure form or in a mixture with other oils, base or essential. So, when used to nourish mature skin, apricot oil is often combined with more active base oils - primrose, blackcurrant and other berry oils.
Lightly warmed oil removes makeup well and cleanses the skin. It is useful to add a teaspoon of oil to the finished masks and a few drops to creams.
Apricot oil for nails
Apricot oil can soften the cuticle, strengthen the nails, remove the yellowness from the nail plate. Rub lightly warmed apricot oil into your skin and nails regularly. For a whitening effect, you can also add a little lemon juice or a drop of lemon essential oil to the oil.
A mask will help to exfoliate nails: add 1-2 drops of oil from one or two oils from the list: bergamot, pine, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, patchouli to a tablespoon of apricot oil. Apply before bedtime.

Precautionary measures
Despite the fact that apricot oil is recommended even for children and sensitive skin, before using products based on it, test for skin sensitivity by applying the composition to thin skin on the bend of the elbow, for example.
