CheckoutAnti-cellulite massage with oils
There are so many ways to fight cellulite that even your eyes run wide: body wraps, diets, a sauna, all kinds of hardware procedures and some types of fitness. Cosmetics that help smooth the skin and add elasticity to it are one of the most gentle measures, but massage oil mixtures stand out in a number of all kinds of creams, oils and serums against cellulite. Two advantages determine their effectiveness: composition (natural cosmetic and essential active oils) and method of application - that they are not just applied, but actually rubbed into the skin during massage. How effective is anti-cellulite massage, how to prepare an oil mixture for it and how to make such a massage?
The question of effectiveness is the most important one:
what result - at best - can we expect from anti-cellulite massage with oils? Do
not believe those who will assure you that such a massage someone completely eliminated
the “orange peel” and a dozen centimeters at the waist in addition: the reality
is much more prosaic. Firstly, with a diligent and regular massage, you will
not lose your native cellulite, especially if it is not in the stage of light
tubercles, but in a more pronounced form. But massage will definitely help
smooth the skin, smooth out irregularities. Secondly, a significant loss of
volume during massage is also a myth, but getting rid of 1-3 cm fat in the
massage area in a month or two is possible. In general, the best result of
anti-cellulite massage is a smoother, firmer, velvety skin, a more toned body
contour, minus a centimeter or two of subcutaneous fat, well, and a lot of
pleasant sensations. This result can be improved if other anti-cellulite
measures are carried out in parallel with the massage, for example, doing body
wraps, going for swimming and water massage, doing fitness and stop leaning on
sweets and fat.
How to do your own anti-cellulite massage with oils?
Of course, if a professional does the massage for you, it
will surely turn out to be more effective (and you just need to relax in the
process), but not the gods burn the pots: a few times you will get the hang of
it and will do self-massage with confidence and dexterity of the pro!
- preparing the skin for massage.
- the actual massage with oils. Massage is carried out
along the lines of lymphatic flow, vigorously. On average, one zone (the most
prone to cellulite areas: buttocks, hips, sides) is given about 2-3 minutes.
Ideally, you should rest after the massage, and do not rinse
off the remaining oil on the body, so it is best to massage it at night so that
you can go to bed after it, leaving the essential oils in the mixture and then
slowly affect the skin.
How to prepare skin for massage?

The purpose of preparing the skin is to make it more supple,
receptive, of course, completely clean, and also open the pores. Proper
preparation greatly improves the result of massage, so do not neglect it! There
are several options for such preparation:
- A shower with a scrub or peeling. The easiest and fastest
option: choose a well-cleansing scrub, thoroughly scrub, and rub it well with
areas that you will then massage.
- Mineral scrub. Such a scrub cleanses deeper and more
thoroughly than usual, but makes it softer, with minimal exfoliation. Mineral
scrub is a good choice if you do anti-cellulite massage often.
- Bath or sauna. High temperature perfectly prepares the
skin, softens it and opens the pores. And if you still use the scrub along the
way, then nothing better can be invented.
- Massage with a brush. Brush massage of problem areas is an independent anti-cellulite procedure, but it can also be used as an excellent preparation of the skin for applying oils. Simply rub dry skin with a dry brush, and then rinse with warm water - and begin the massage immediately after, onto the skin that is still slightly moist.
Important: massage with oils is best done on slightly damp
skin, after a shower or bath. In addition to the fact that the skin in this
condition is most susceptible, it is recommended that all oils be applied only
to wet skin to prevent it from drying out over the long term.
How to prepare an oil mixture for anti-cellulite massage?
There are ready-made body oils that can be used for such a
massage, but it’s not difficult to cook them. For this you will need natural
cosmetic and essential oils.
Another important point: you can make a massage mixture for
the future, fill it with a glass jar (preferably from darkened glass) - and put
it in a darkened place. But it’s even better to prepare the mixture each time
separately: so it will always be perfectly fresh. A portion of massage oil at
one time is approximately equal to 20 ml (approximately 2 tablespoons), but it
is easy to reduce or increase, while maintaining the correct proportion of
cosmetic and essential oils.
Oils and essential oils for massage mixture
A massage mixture always consists of a base (vegetable
cosmetic oil) and a much smaller amount of essential oils (therefore, they are
calculated in drops).
Base oils (cosmetic
vegetable).
The composition of ready-made mixtures often includes solid
oils for density, but they significantly increase the viscosity of the mixture,
so liquid vegetable oils can be dispensed with without problems.
The best base oils for massage: almond (sweet almond), peach
seed, apricot kernel, grape seed, rice bran, you can also use argan oil, jojoba
oil.
The best additional oils that are added to the base in a
proportion of 10-20% and which perfectly affect the skin, contributing to
smoothing and increasing its elasticity: wheat germ oil, borago, avocado,
macadamia.
Essential oils.
The most effective anti-cellulite oils include oils that
tone the skin, improve blood circulation, warm, tighten, etc. Top 5
anti-cellulite essential oils: orange, grapefruit, ginger, cinnamon, juniper.
You can use one of these oils, but tandems work even better, for example, a
classic mixture of citrus essential oil with spicy warming oil, that is, orange
+ ginger or grapefruit + cinnamon.
Connect! To prepare a portion of the massage mixture, we take 20 ml of vegetable base oil or several oils - and drip 5-7 drops of essential oils (in total) into this volume.
An example of a recipe for an anti-cellulite mixture.
- 15ml peach or almond oil
- 5ml wheat germ oil
- 4 drops of orange essential oil
- 3 drops of ginger essential oil

We mix everything well - and use it for massage. Done!
The optimal frequency of such a massage is 3-4 times a week (although it can be done every day, especially if you have a shock program to combat cellulite in a short time). The minimum frequency for a tangible result is 2 times a week.
Precautions: firstly, it is better for pregnant women to
refrain from such massage, and secondly, be sure to consider the possible
occurrence of an allergic reaction. And in general, monitor the reaction of the
skin to the mixture. If the mixture contains warming essential oils, then a
slight redness and warming effect is normal, but a strong burning sensation and
flame-red spots on the body are already bad.
