Black currant oil specifications, usage and dosage

Black currant is a surprisingly useful berry shrub with an extremely wide range of medicinal properties. In terms of vitamin C content, black currant fruits are considered almost the main competitors of sauerkraut and are far ahead of citrus fruits, and they are really unique in acid composition. But few people pay attention to the fact that the blackcurrant cake remaining after the production of juices can be used to obtain an even more unique substance - the seed base oil, which is an irreplaceable and uncontested source of unique omega fatty acids. This is one of the rarest and most valuable base oils, actively used not only in the pharmaceutical, but also in the cosmetic industry, primarily in anti-aging therapy.

Specifications

Usually, the base oil from black currant, or rather from its seeds, is obtained precisely from the cake left after the production of no less valuable juice. The oil is obtained both by pressing and by extraction with solvents.

Outwardly, it is yellow, rather thick, dense, has a light, barely perceptible aroma, similar to the smell of currant leaves.

The most valuable component in currant oil, which was the reason for granting it the status of a unique one, is gamma-linoleic acid. In addition to it, the base oil also contains a very high percentage of tocopherols and carotenoids, sugar, unique tartaric, succinic, malic, phosphoric, nicotinic acids, riboflavin and thiamine, iron, copper, aluminum, manganese, PP vitamins.

Unlike most other base oils, currant is more often used internally than in external methods. But this does not mean at all that this oil is not suitable for local exposure: it is used for many skin diseases, especially those caused by hormonal disorders or systemic changes, but only as an additive to vegetable or other base oil in a ratio of about 10-20% of the total the volume of the mixture.

In addition, black currant oil can be added to cosmetics, massage products and other base oils to improve the vitamin and acid composition (up to 10 drops per 15 grams of base). With an increase in the dosage, currant oil increases the fat content of the skin and stimulates the excessive work of the sebaceous glands, therefore it is better to add minimum rather than maximum dosages to the mixture.

Medicinal properties

The spectrum of medicinal properties of black currant oil is quite wide. It is considered the main therapeutic agent for all hormone-dependent skin diseases, including black currant oil that helps get rid of dermatoses, acne, dermatitis, reduces itching and eczema.

One of the most effective base oils for rheumatic inflammation.

This oil is indispensable for those who have skin irritation as a result of exposure to chemicals or internal medication.

As a unique source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, currant oil is taken orally to strengthen the immune system.

Application in cosmetology

The cosmetic properties of currant oil are determined by a complex of moisturizing, regenerating and smoothing (smoothing) characteristics. This oil allows you to most actively stimulate collagen synthesis, restore the barrier functions of the epidermis, and restore skin elasticity.

This is the most effective base oil for the complex restoration of aging, dry, irritated and flaky skin when it comes to stimulating internal, systemic changes, and not just local effects. It is considered an indispensable remedy for aging, dehydrated and fading skin, the main component of anti-aging aromatherapy.

The restorative and deeply regenerating properties of the base oil are also manifested in the effect on the nail plate, in particular in the treatment of brittle and peeling nails.

Effectively, currant oil fights seborrhea and psoriasis, restores shine and strength of hair.

Usage and dosage

Due to the content of active amino acids during pregnancy and lactation, black currant oil can only be taken internally after individual consultation with your doctor. This also applies to those suffering from hemophilia, because the oil is capable of exhibiting antithrombotic symptoms.

Store the oil for no more than one year, only in the refrigerator and with tightly closed packaging.

Inside, oil is used only from the age of 12, a teaspoon no more than 2 times a day with meals (you can buy oil in capsules - a dosage of about 3 grams per meal, 3 times a day).

Currant oil is considered "night" and is more often used in skin care products for the night. It can be applied directly to the skin or hair in a diluted form, or added to cosmetics, used as a carrier for essential oils.
