Homemade foot scrub

Do you know exactly how to make a foot scrub at home?

We are accustomed to taking care of our face and hands - they are always in sight, but the feet need care almost more caring. Our legs keep us all day long - and sometimes a lot of weight, and even in heels! - get swelling, abrasions, calluses, corns, cracks and injuries. We do not always wear comfortable shoes - many women think about fashion and appearance more often than about health. And the legs receive less attention than other parts of the body: after all, the hardened and cracked skin in shoes - and even more so in boots! - can not see.

In the summer, we take care of our feet to wear sandals and walk along the beaches "in all its glory." Meanwhile, winter is the time for a thorough care of feet, all day long "toil" in closed and "non-breathable" shoes. Homemade foot scrubs are a great way to keep your feet healthy and to deal with most problems that arise, from flaking and dryness to cracks and calluses. However, it is better not to bring to the last.

Using foot scrubs at home 1-2 times a week, you can restore softness and smoothness to your feet, and bioactive points - there are about 100 of them on the feet - can work better for the health of all internal organs.

What is the use

Homemade foot scrubs have many benefits.

They cleanse the skin of stratum corneum, accelerate the processes of epidermal cell regeneration, relieve leg fatigue, return smoothness and softness to the feet, activate blood circulation, enhance protective properties, etc.

Home scrubs also contain components rich in vitamins and other beneficial substances - which means they nourish the skin. When the abrasive ingredients cleanse the dermis mechanically, it is easier for nutrients to get inside.

Any foot scrubs at home are useful - for example, cleansing peels, nourishing scrub masks and cream scrubs, but you should choose based on the condition of the feet. Scrubs are applied, as a rule, on previously steamed skin.

Scrubs-peels from the stratum corneum

The most "handy" home abrasives for scrub-peels are salt and sugar: they are always at hand and can be easily washed off.

Salt scrub-peeling for feet

To make a peeling foot scrub at home, salt, regular large or sea salt, rich in minerals, is mixed with vegetable oil - primacy over olive oil, and the feet are scrubbed after a soda bath.

You can do this: salt (3 tablespoons) with apple (wine, balsamic) vinegar and honey (1 tablespoon); after rinsing, grease with cream.

A scrub with shower gel (20 ml), sugar (50 g) and your favorite aromatic oil (3-4 drops) is used in the same way, treating the feet (shins, knees and elbows can be used): cleanses the skin, relieves fatigue after a busy day.

Homemade honey-nut peeling - for severely hardened skin of the feet. In a coffee grinder grind hazelnuts or almonds (7-8 pcs.) Into medium crumbs, add 1 tbsp. oatmeal and the same amount of honey, 2 tbsp. fat sour cream (or 4 tablespoons of plain yogurt). The feet are massaged for 5 minutes in a circular motion, rinsed with cool water: dead cells are removed, the skin softens and becomes smooth.

Peeling with fresh tomato and relatively fine sea salt is popular. For a large tomato without skin - 1 tbsp. salt, mashed and rub in with massage movements for 3-5 minutes. Wash off with warm water, apply cream.

Peeling scrub with lactic acid

The fashionable procedure "peeling socks" can be done at home by purchasing lactic acid at the pharmacy. Dilute it with water so that the concentration does not exceed 20%. Soak the cut cotton socks with the solution (leave the bottom of the foot) and put on, and on top - plastic bags. With bags on your feet, you can walk around the apartment, doing business, or you can lie down to rest. Remove them after 2 hours, wash your feet with warm water, lubricate with cream. Do this for about a week. Result - on the 2nd - 3rd day: peeling will begin, the skin will "come off in layers", but they cannot be torn off. Continue the procedure and your feet will soon become soft and youthful.

Foot scrub masks

The most "favorite" masks of legs include chocolate, nourishing and moisturizing the skin, making it elastic and velvety.

Chocolate foot scrubs

There are many chocolate foot scrubs. "Eastern" was called a scrub mask with cocoa powder, dark sugar and ground coffee (all 1 tablespoon each), spices (ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, ½ tsp each) and olive oil (2-3 tablespoons .l.). The "milk" option is simpler: cocoa and sugar (1 tablespoon each) with warm milk. Both types of mixture are applied to steamed skin. Massage for 5 minutes, rinse with warm water.

For sensitive skin of the legs - a "super nutritious" scrub at home with butter (2 tsp), raw quail egg yolks (2 pcs.) And nut flour (walnut flour, 2 tablespoons). The oil is melted, everything is mixed; keep on steamed skin for 3-5 minutes, massage for 2-3 minutes and rinse. You can also take chicken eggs.

Oatmeal is cheaper, but legs like chocolate. Mix them with different nutritional components. The easiest way is milk (cream): 2-3 tbsp. Dilute ground flakes to a creamy consistency, apply, massage, leave for 8-10 minutes, rinse.

Homemade foot scrub mask with fresh cucumber: cleanses, nourishes and refreshes. Grate a small cucumber on a medium grater, mix with 1 tbsp. flakes, let stand for 20 minutes. Massage your legs for 5-7 minutes in a circular motion, rinse with warm and rinse with cool water, lubricate with cream.

In the same way, a peeling mask is made with flakes and fresh carrot juice (you can add a little finely grated raw carrots).

Exfoliating creams at home

Homemade foot scrub recipes are less common, perhaps because such cosmetics include less readily available ingredients. This can be seen in the example of purchased products, but women are not always satisfied with the store options.

So, the exfoliating product "Effect" of the company Svoboda has collected a lot of unflattering reviews: "legs dry out - rough", "complete nonsense", "little sense", "ineffective effect" and others. and provide comfort. " Well, you can create a version of the "home effect" by combining the main components of the composition. You cannot grind peach seeds at home - they can be replaced with nuts, mixed with white clay, peach oil, glycerin and witch hazel extract - plants with many beneficial properties: antioxidant, anti-aging, antifungal, etc. You can buy the latter at a pharmacy or online store. This scrub will have to be washed off, although often after applying such products it is recommended to do without water, but simply wipe your feet with a damp or dry cloth.

You can make it easier by buying a foot cream with witch hazel - for example, a soothing cream with shark oil, or Praxedis from the domestic manufacturer of sports cosmetics EuroFarmSport, and mixing it with scrubbing particles. A good component for homemade cream scrubs will be polyethylene granules: they are in stores selling goods for soap making, and in some cosmetic departments, but they are cheap.

granules will make a delicate and delicate homemade foot scrub if you add melted beeswax and jojoba oil (to the consistency of a cream), bergamot and fir essential oils (3-5 drops each). The cream-scrub for feet of the Belarusian manufacturer Belita has a similar composition: just the case when you can not rinse, but wipe it with a dry towel. It is suggested to apply on both steamed and dry skin.
