How is mango oil used in cosmetology for the skin of the face, body and hair

Mango oil is obtained from the seeds of the Indian mangifera (Mangifera indica), better known to us as mango. Its homeland, as their name implies, is India, but currently there are mango plantations in the countries of North, South and Central America, in a number of Asian countries, in the tropical zone of Africa, and also in Australia. Mango is cultivated even in Europe, mainly in Spain and the Canary Islands. Ripe fruits can reach a mass of more than two kilograms and have both a monochromatic (green, yellow or red) and multi-colored color.

Rich in vitamins and minerals

Mango oil belongs to a group of solid vegetable oils called butter. It has a semi-solid consistency, resembling soft butter at room temperature, and begins to melt at 40 ° C. Mango oil has a neutral aroma and can range in color from white to light yellow or even creamy.

The chemical composition of mango oil is characterized primarily by monounsaturated triglycerides of the following acids: oleic, stearic, palmitic, linoleic, linolenic and arachidic. It also contains vitamins (A, E, C, D and group B), folic acid and trace elements (iron, potassium, calcium and magnesium). In addition, the oil contains tocopherols and phytosterols, components that are a source of active ingredients for the epidermis.

Beneficial features

Mango oil, or as experts call it "mango seed oil", has a wide range of actions, which are anti-inflammatory, regenerating, moisturizing, softening and photoprotective. It is recommended for the treatment of certain types of skin diseases, in particular dermatitis, psoriasis, dry forms of eczema and various skin rashes. Many people use it to relieve muscle pain, relieve tension and fatigue, and therefore mango oil is often included in massage mixtures. It is also believed to help with itching from insect bites.

What are the benefits of beauty

Mango oil is very beneficial for the face and hair. It restores the natural lipid barrier of the face and body skin, restoring its ability to retain moisture, so it can be used after visiting a sauna, bath or pool, as well as to eliminate the effects of other drying factors on the skin, such as sunburn, frostbite, chapping, etc. etc.

But still, the main purpose of mango seed oil is daily care of the face and body skin, hair and nails. It is equally suitable for normal to combination, young and mature, dry and irritated skin. It is also indispensable for those with sensitive and flaky skin. As a result of its use, the face and body become soft, velvety and hydrated throughout the day. Mango oil helps in combating unhealthy skin color and age spots. It is also effective for hardened skin as it softens and smoothes it. In addition, with regular use, the mango butter is considered a good preventative of stretch marks.

It can even be used instead of shaving and after shaving cream, it will prevent irritation and quickly soothe the skin.

Mango oil, due to its chemical composition, oxidation stability, high viscosity and good emulsion stability, is a desirable ingredient in a variety of cosmetics. Cosmetics manufacturers include up to 5% of it in body lotions and creams, shampoos and hair conditioners.

It is also used in the creation of sunscreens and skin care products for the face and body after sunburn, as it contains a large amount of unsaponifiable fractions that provide protection from ultraviolet rays.

Mango seed oil has an effective effect on face and body skin, hair and nails. Used alone or in combination with other essential oils, it improves their overall health. It can also be used to enrich conventional cosmetics, usually creams (in a 1 to 1 ratio) or hair balms.

Mango oil for hair

For hair care, a small amount of mango oil is combined with a hair balm (in a ratio of 1 to 10). The resulting mixture is applied to the hair, evenly distributed over it and easily rubbed into the scalp. Then they are washed off with water at a comfortable temperature after 5-7 minutes.

Alternatively, you can try a scalp massage with a mixture of two oils: mango and jojoba, mixed in equal proportions.

The active ingredients of Mango Oil envelop each hair, gently smoothing the scales and at the same time nourishing, moisturizing and restoring the hair along its entire length. The result is manageable, easy to comb and shiny hair that breaks less. They not only look healthy, but they are so on the inside.

Application for face and body

Masks and applications with mango oil are effective for face and body skin care. To do this, areas of the body and faces that require special care are lubricated with natural mango oil or napkins soaked in it are applied to them. The procedure is repeated twice a day if urgently needed, and once a week as a prophylaxis. You can alternate the use of a pure product and its mixtures with essential oils, at the rate of 5 drops per 10 ml of base.

Baths with mango oil are considered to be effective means for beauty of the skin and at the same time pleasant. A small lump of mango butter should simply be thrown into a warm bath and soaked in it for a while. It neutralizes water hardness and moisturizes the skin of the face and body.

Mango oil can also be rubbed into the nail plates overnight or at least for a few hours without rinsing. With regular use, nails will become strong and hard.

When using mango oil, remember that it is a butter, and as a result, it does not spread well on the skin, being in a solid state. However, it is enough to heat it up a little, and it is easily absorbed into the skin, hair and nails, without leaving any oily feeling.
