CheckoutHow to "wake up" body skin in spring
With winter and summer skin care for the body, everything is clear: in cold weather we diligently smear flaky knees and heels with nourishing creams and oils, in warm season we surround ourselves with bottles and tubes with SPF marking, moisturize and soften the skin after exposure to ultraviolet radiation. But how to care for your skin in spring? All the inhabitants of the northern hemisphere are familiar with the syndrome of pale, emaciated, lifeless skin: after five to six months of cold weather, warm sweaters and no sun, it is impossible to shine with a magnificent skin color and flaunt its tightness and smoothness. If we emerged from winter immediately into the bright sun and fresh greenery, most likely, nature itself would take care of the rapid recovery of the skin, but the off-season period is incredibly long for us, and without the help of our skin it can be difficult to fill with vitality.
The easiest way is to "automatically" engage in an unequal battle with cellulite, which, like a phantom, every March begins to haunt us in terrible dreams, but in reality we strive not so much for smooth and perfectly photogenic skin on the thighs, but for fresh, firm skin on the whole body - one with which we will be comfortable not only to show off in more open clothes, but also to enjoy the first sunbathing and walks. So maybe we should reconsider our goals?
What kind of pressing skin problems usually show up in the spring?
- It is necessary to stop “feeding” your skin with dense nourishing agents and switch to lighter cosmetics, in which moisturizing and lifting effect prevails. Although everything is individual: for the owners of dry skin, it is quite important not to part with the nutritious butter in the summer, it just will have to give way to gentle milk or cream from time to time.
- Speaking of lifting: after a long cold period, which is essentially a prolonged background stress on the skin, it often loses its elasticity, becomes lethargic and looks “older”, that is, drier, with sudden folds and wrinkles, a little loose when touched. So, the task: to restore elasticity.
- Skin tone as a more general concept than elasticity is also not up to par in spring. This is reflected in both low elasticity and "bluish" skin tone. You have already woken up and are actively preparing for the summer warmth, and your skin is still "asleep". By the way, low tone can also be partially explained by inadequate winter nutrition, in which there are a lot of starches, coffee, sweets and flour, few vegetables, herbs and fruits. Therefore, let us note in parentheses that in the matter of "shaking" your body in the spring, healthy nutrition is an irreplaceable and very important measure. Stop comforting yourself with chocolates, cocoa with sugar and cakes, replace all drinks with pure water and herbal tea, grab and drag all the oncoming and transverse greens into your plate - and not only your body as a whole, but also your skin will repay you with good.
- Last but not least, aesthetics. You reconcile your spring and summer clothes, dismantling wardrobes, putting on last year's chiffon dress or a beach swimsuit on duty ... and realize that this is not how you imagined your exposed body in your summer dreams. I would like the skin to be smoother, velvety, radiant, in general, "spring".
With the setting of tasks, everything is clear, now all that remains is to move forward. What can be done? And preferably with the minimum expenditure of effort, money and time?

Spring tonic baths.
If in winter you took a bath more or less hot, and even added warming essential oils to it, leaning on the needles, so at the same time to save yourself from colds, then in spring baths are more relevant, firstly, they are not so hot, and secondly, rather tonic rather than relaxing-warming. The easiest way to prepare such a bath is to dissolve 150-200 g of sea salt in water (additional lifting effect and skin cleansing effect) and add 4-5 drops of invigorating essential oil, for example, EO orange, bergamot, tangerine, into it. A moderately contrasting shower with natural gel (citrus, of course) also does not hurt!
We get rid of the "old skin".
Body scrubs are very good in spring, but there is one "but": they should not be too harsh, traumatic. After winter, the skin is often a little more sensitive, maybe dryish, but here you are with a shock scrub based on coarse salt, coffee and acids. The right product will exfoliate everything you need, and even help even out, with systemic use, cellulite bumps by a certain percentage, but it will not injure the skin. Pay attention to salt and sugar-salt scrubs with oils, mineral dry scrubs with the addition of zeolite, clay and salt. And even they should not be abused: 2, at most 3 times a week will be enough.
We wrap ourselves up and sweat.
Body wraps and masks are traditionally considered a method of getting rid of extra centimeters, but in fact, they just perfectly soften and nourish the skin, making it firmer, healthier and fresher. Wraps and all kinds of masks applied in a bath or sauna have one thing in common: an increased temperature and a rather long effect on the skin. In the process, the pores open, the surface layers of the skin are warmed up, and the product that you have applied to the skin, depending on its functions, is very effective either cleansing, or tones, or nourishes. The real champions among natural cosmetics for use in these conditions are ghassoul clay, beldi soap, mineral body salt with zeolite, as well as oil masks with toning essential oils.
Strengthening ... arm muscles.
Body creams are a great thing in and of themselves, especially if you are not lazy and use them regularly, rather than from time to time. But nothing enhances the effect of the cream like a good vigorous self-massage when applying and rubbing the cream, fluid or oil into the skin. This simple procedure is the queen of procedures for improving the condition of the skin of the body, and in a complex: and increasing elasticity, elasticity, and activation of blood circulation, and general toning, and - yes - getting rid of some volume. A professional massage therapist will massage with oil or a special mixture, most likely, even better, more effective, but regularity works wonders here too: if you devote at least 15 minutes to this 2 times a week, the result is smoother, with a healthy tone, elastic skin is guaranteed.
And the main thing.
do not treat all these procedures as a duty that you endure just for the sake of some supposed beauty on the beach in August. This is not a challenge, but pleasure - including from the process itself. Isn't this a pleasant pastime: rubbing an oily, aromatic scrub into the skin with gentle movements, or wallowing in an “orange” bath, or applying a gentle moisturizing milk to the body? What a pleasure it is, especially if you choose natural remedies with natural salts, minerals, oils, extracts and essential oils!
