Revealing the secrets of how to care for your feet

Our feet are constantly loaded, and the greatest load falls on the feet: even if the work is not connected with walking, the feet are trapped for most of the day with shoes that are not always comfortable and cannot move freely. From day to day, the feet get so tired that they lack a night's rest: overloads accumulate, the blood stagnates, nutrition goes to the tissues worse, the mobility of the joints deteriorates, the veins expand, the skin turns yellow, coarse, thickens and cracks.

Why you need to care

This is not just ugly and uncomfortable, but dangerous for health in general: feet suffer, we get tired quickly, gait becomes less confident, heavier, and this quickly affects the state of the spine, which “controls” many of our organs and systems. Bioactive points located on the feet lose sensitivity, and internal organs suffer even more. Therefore, the most important part of body care is precisely taking care of your feet at home, caring and regular.

You should not bring your feet to calluses and horny deposits, cracked heels and fungal diseases: most problems with the feet, as well as with health in general, can be prevented with simple actions.

Just a massage

It is not difficult to make a massage for the feet according to a simple scheme, but most women do not have enough time for it: in the morning we are in a hurry, and in the evening - "not before." But several times a day, bending and straightening your toes, stretching your calves and knees can do everything, even if you are very busy: even these simple movements will help your feet feel better.

In summer, try to walk barefoot whenever possible, and not only to the sea: you can take off your shoes for a couple of minutes during a country walk, in the country, in a park or on the lawn near the house.

At home, massage with needles and conifer twigs. In winter it is easier: after the holidays, do not throw live spruce into the trash can, but break small legs, cut off the needles, scatter all this on a certain area of the floor, and “stomp” on it with pleasure: the needles stimulate the bioactive points of the feet.

Useful gymnastics

The massage is perfectly complemented by simple and very useful gymnastics for the feet, only it must be done regularly.

For example, 5-6 times slowly get up on your toes and lower yourself - this can also be done at the stove.

Having finished the next household chores, walk 2-3 circles around the room, on toes, then in the same way - on the heels, on the outer and inner sides of the feet.

Sitting in front of a TV or computer, pick up various small objects from the floor, grabbing them with your toes: pencils, beads, napkins, etc.

Lying, or sitting on a sofa or chair, sharply "pull" the foot towards you, slowly relax; repeat several times.

It is easy for us to quickly spread and squeeze our fingers, but with toes, as a rule, "the number does not work": squeezed most of the day by shoes, toes refuse to obey. Do this exercise in the morning, lying in bed, in the evening before going to bed and several times during the day: the condition of the feet will begin to improve.


Features of daily care

If you do not leave your feet unattended, taking care of your feet at home does not take a lot of time and patience. Taking a warm every night shower, rub your feet with a special brush, a hard washcloth, use a scrub: this can prevent coarsening and thickening of the skin. After the shower, the feet are soaked with a towel, the skin is allowed to dry, a light massage with a nourishing cream is made and then you go to bed.

Foot bath

Foot baths are good both in winter and in summer: the feet get tired from beautiful sandals no less than from closed boots. The skin begins to dry out, itching and small cracks appear - decoctions (infusions) of herbs and essential oils will help here. Herbal baths are a very important part of home foot care.

The herb can be brewed (1-2 tablespoons per 200 ml of boiling water), infuse for half an hour and add the infusion to the water for the bath. Dissolve essential oils (3-6 drops) first (in soda, sea salt, cream, etc.), and then add to water.

We list some types of herbs for baths. Relieve swelling of linden blossom and chamomile with honey; chamomile also disinfects - it is more effective in combination with calendula; nettle, St. John's wort and mint have a refreshing effect; oak bark, thyme; conifers (pine, spruce, fir) eliminate sweating. If you need to soften your feet, make a potato broth bath.

Fatigue of the feet is well removed with the help of contrasting baths at home: everyone seems to know about it, but they forget to use it. Pour water into two small basins: in one - hot, as far as you can tolerate, in the other - very cold, and alternately immerse your feet "here and there" - the procedure is best done after a hard day.

Ready-made sets for foot baths, with mixtures of herbs, special salts, milk and other health supplements, help to save time. Take baths for 5-10 minutes; the water is hot, but not too hot; with sweating, edema and varicose veins, it is better to make baths of cool water. Water can be poured both into ordinary basins, bowls, buckets, and into modern specially adapted baths, with many convenient functions: the main thing is the regularity of the procedures.

Masks at home

Masks for feet, like any caring cosmetics, can be bought in a store, but you should not forget about home, “kitchen” means used for centuries. Moreover, they cost "a penny", and the effect is no less (and even more) remarkable.

Lemon juice helps to soften the skin of the feet and exfoliate dead cells. Cut off a slice of lemon, and, holding the peel so that it is comfortable, rub your feet well. Wash off after 10-15 minutes.

For about the same time, an egg white mask is held to soften and nourish the skin of the feet: it is simply applied in layers. When one layer dries a little, apply the next.

Homemade masks with mayonnaise for feet are popular: it is applied to the feet, covered with cling film and kept for at least an hour - the skin softens perfectly; but the composition of store mayonnaise is not always safe. So you can choose another mask with a similar and even more pronounced effect, from a mixture of sour cream and cottage cheese. The mask softens and brightens the skin of the feet; you need to keep it for about an hour.

For half an hour or an hour they hold a mask of boiled potatoes on their feet: knead and apply warm. You can even boil washed cleanings and knead them thoroughly - it will turn out even more useful.

Onion masks at home do not dare to do everything, because of the strong smell, but they soften perfectly. A large onion is rubbed on a fine grater, gruel is applied to the feet, carefully covered with a film, insulated and kept for 2-3 hours. When washing off the mask, add a little vinegar, regular or apple cider, or lemon juice to the water - the smell will quickly disappear.

You can take care of your feet at home and with the help of modern cosmetics based on natural products: they are not cheap, but if you want, there is a way; besides, they are not bought every week.

For example, creams, gels and balms for feet of the well-known German company Gehwol (Gevol), with oils of avocado, jojoba, wheat germ, other natural fats, lanolin, ricinoleic acid salts have proven themselves well - this acid helps the healing substances very quickly penetrate deep into the stratum corneum. ... The skin of the feet softens, moisturizes, becomes smoother and more tender, firm and elastic, sweating is normalized, and bubbles and cracks disappear.
