Apricot Oil Mask Recipes

Apricot oil for the face at home is used in masks and creams.

For problematic skin, the following mask is recommended: 1 tablespoon of apricot oil or a mixture of several vegetable oils, diluted with 2 drops of essential oils of tea tree, lavender and lemon. Apply the composition to a cotton swab dipped in warm water and wipe the skin.

Mask with apricot oil for intensive facial skin nutrition: a container with apricot oil (in pure form or as a mixture with other essential oils in the ratio of 5-6 drops of any other vegetable oil per 25 ml of apricot oil) bring to 37 degrees under hot water or water bath. Then, with a warm composition, soak gauze or a thin layer of cotton wool and put it on your face, while leaving your nose, mouth and eyes open. Apply cling film or parchment paper over a warm layer. To keep warm, wrap your face in a terry towel laid in several layers. Wash with warm water after 20 minutes. It is recommended to make the same mask for the neckline.

Face mask with a mixed skin type: apricot oil, as a standalone product, or mixed with peach oil (in a 1:1 ratio), as well as with the addition of 1-2 drops of essential oils of mint, lemon or ylang-ylang to 1 tablespoon basic composition, regularly apply to cleansed face skin.

Apricot oil can also be used as massage oil: for this, during the massage process, it is necessary to apply a few drops of oil on the skin of the body or face and rub the oil with light massage movements until completely absorbed into the skin.

The effect of apricot oil on the hair is favorable and incomparable even with the most expensive shampoos. Is your hair brittle, dry and lifeless? Apricot oil is highly recommended for damaged hair. The structure of such hair is rough, because the hair scales are irritated and are not able to fit snugly to the skeleton. As a result, the hair becomes unprotected. Apply apricot oil to your hair and you will notice how it becomes smooth and acquires an extraordinary shine. Nourishing hair mask: heat apricot oil in hot water or in a water bath, rub it into your scalp with your fingertips and wrap with a towel, soak for 30-60 minutes. Then rinse with shampoo.

Nail oil

The healing properties of apricot oil will help you save your hands and nails, and keep them in perfect shape; it helps to heal superficial wounds and soften the cuticles. For several days, regularly rub the heated apricot oil into the skin of your hands and nails, and you will feel the change after just a few sessions.

Heat a teaspoon of oil for about 20 seconds in the microwave in a small glass oven, or on a regular stove in a small saucepan over low heat. Then, apply a drop of oil to each nail and carefully rub it into the cuticle.

Using oil, you can make an ointment to soften the cuticles from lanolin and apricot oil. To prevent delamination of the nails, mix in equal proportions of 10 drops: apricot oil and any of the essential oils (bergamot, ylang-ylang, patchouli, sandalwood or pine), apply the composition to the nail plates and massage.

To make the nail plates more transparent, make a mixture of 1 drop of essential oil (lemon, rosemary, juniper, bergamot or grapefruit) and half a teaspoon of apricot oil. Apply the composition on the nails and rub.

How to apply for eyelashes

All the beneficial properties of apricot oil are distributed for the health and beauty of eyelashes.

To remove makeup, apply 2-3 drops of oil to a cotton swab soaked in warm water, wring it out of excess moisture and gently pat your eyelashes with light movements until completely cleansed of makeup.

To intensely nourish and prevent aging of the skin around the eyes, apply a few drops of apricot oil to clean skin. Excess oil can be removed with a cotton pad.
