Description: Milk Thistle, also known by many other names such as Marian thistle and Scotch thistle, is a member of the Asteraceae plant family, the same family that includes the daisy and sunflower. Used for thousands of years for its antioxidant properties.

Color: Typically light yellow oil.

Aromatic Description: This oil has a bland aroma and mixes well with other oils.

Common Uses: Milk Thistle is a great detoxifier for the body and also promotes body health. Abundant in sterols, essential fatty acids, and vitamin E; this oil expressed from the seeds is often incorporated into skin care formulations for its antioxidant, anti-aging, moisturizing and skin protectant benefits.

Consistency: Slightly viscous.

Absorption: When this light oil is absorbed by the skin, it leaves little to no oily residue.

Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of up to 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
